Over time, as the ground around your pool shifts, the gap between your pool's edge and your bullnose bricks will widen; this creates a gap on the surface of your deck that extends downward. At the same time, the same movement of earth is likely separating the bottom of your deck from the top of your pool tiles. If you were to force a little bit of water from the top, some, if not all, of that water would go directly into your pool!
